These Newspapers (stamped with name) belonged to 29 Palms first WWII Hero - U.S. Army Air Force 2nd Lieutenant Troy Martin whom was the first 29 Palms WWII Casualty. In this lot are 7 "The Desert Trail" Newspapers from 1943 (World War II era). The Desert Trail started in 1935 and there were only "4" pages during that time period (same as these). They are fragile, as all old newspapers are, and do show wear... such as rips, tears, holes and/or creases... but they are complete and have great "Local History" about 29 Palms along with advertisements from that time period (which is over 80 years ago!).
